Realme X3 SuperZoom brings 60x zoom capability: Launching next week!

2019 was a great year for Realme as it was able to position itself among the biggest smartphone brands in South Asia. 2020 was supposed to be the year to build on that success but things haven’t really gone according to plan. The brand is finding it difficult to launch new products into the market but it hasn’t stopped rumors of new phones hitting the internet. Realme X2 Pro was last year’s breakout hit, which also briefly held the title of a “flagship killer.” And now, the company is launching another ambitious phone – the Realme X3 SuperZoom. Though very little detail about the phone has surfaced till now, we’re excited nonetheless.

Realme X3 SuperZoom Overview

During the launch event of the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro, the company announced that it was revamping its smartphone lineups to target a bigger audience and it looks to be the case with the upcoming Realme X3 lineup. Upcoming Realme X3 series will be a premium mid-range offering from the company. The company looks to be developing the design specifically with the aim of competing against the existing and upcoming mid-range devices from other brands.

Realme X3 SuperZoom Rumors

Realme X3 SuperZoom had been spotted in the GeekBench listing as RMX2086. The listing showed the device to come with the “msmnile” processor which is the code name for last year’s Snapdragon 855+. One of the variants will have 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage at its disposal.
But the highlight feature of the phone is its zoom capability, as implied by the name itself. The 8MP periscope lens on Realme X3 SuperZoom will be capable of 5x optical and 60x digital zoom. Since we’ve already been burned with such insane zoom capabilities from other phones, this phone has a lot to prove. Other camera lenses are rumored to be a 64MP lens (Sony IMX686 probably), 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro lens. Let’s take a look at some camera samples the company has revealed.
On the front, it may have a dual selfie camera setup inside a pill-shaped cutout, with one of them being a 32MP lens. We really don’t have any other hard-hitting information about its specs. Well, the fact that the phone will ship with Android 10 is a given. However, some leaks also suggest that Realme X3 SuperZoom will have a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Realme X3 Rumors

A device with model name RMX2142 has been spotted in different certifications. Many believe that it is the upcoming Realme X3. TENAA certification reveals that the device will sport a 6.57-inch display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The renders of the phone reveal a dual selfie camera on the top left corner of the device. On the back, it sports four camera sensors arranged vertically with an LED flash to the side of the camera module.

The listing also reveals a 5G processor. We strongly believe that the device will come with Snapdragon 765G which would put it head to head with Mi 10 Lite. It may have either 6, 8, and 12GB of RAM. Users will be able to choose from 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone will have a 48MP quad-camera setup. The 48MP primary sensor will be accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide angle, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the 16MP primary selfie camera will be accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The will feature a 4,100mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging.

Realme X3 SuperZoom Price & Availability

The twitter handle of Realme Europe has confirmed that Realme X3 SuperZoom will be launched on May 26 via an online-event. In terms of pricing, looking back at the X2 series, we expect the pricing of Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom to be “super” competitive as well.
