Jasmin Bhasin, Saumya Tandon and other TV stars
support Ekta Kapoor against Hindustani Bhau and also condemn the death
threats she received from people.
Ekta Kapoor's web show XXX Uncensored has been in trouble since Bigg
Boss 13 contestant Hindustani Bhau had lodged a complaint against her as
he felt that one of the scenes from the show is disrespectful towards
Indian Army. In one of the episodes of XXX, Aaditi Kohli and Ribbu Mehra
were shown making out while Aditi’s husband, military personnel, is on
duty. Raising an objection about the scene, Hindustani Bhau said, “In
the web series, they have shown that when the military personnel is
away, his wife calls her boyfriend at home, makes him wear the military
uniform and then tears it." Along with the video he wrote, "Police
complaint filed in the Khar Police Station against Ekta Kapoor. Police
Complaint filed today by me against anti-national people Ekta Kapoor and
Shobha Kapoor for disrespecting our Indian military, national emblem,
colonel tag and defaming our country." However, now Ekta Kapoor has
deleted the scene from the web show and also revealed that she has been
receiving death and rape threats from people. Even after the scene has
been deleted she is being trolled for it. Now, television stars like
Jasmin Bhasin, Saumya Tandon, Sharad Malhotra, Shweta Basu Prasad and
Iqbal Khan have condemned these death and rape threats. Also Read - Happy birthday, Ekta Kapoor! Kasamh Se, Kahiin Toh Hoga - 5 shows we want to see a reboot of after Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2
As per reports in Hindustan Times, Jasmin Bhasin
said, "Ekta’s TV shows and films have been winning hearts for so many
years now. Just because of one incident, we should not judge someone.
Also, threatening anyone for anything is just not the solution. Ekta has
been a fantastic producer and content creator. Things should be sorted
peacefully." Saumya Tandon also supported Ekta Kapoor and said, "It’s a
free world, if you do not like any content, you can wish to reject it.
We’re in a civilised society, this is no way to react to any kind of
creative work anybody has done. If you don’t like it, it is totally your
right to reject it. These kind of threats are something completely
appalling and unacceptable." Shweta Basu Prasad said, "It’s wrong, you
are not the law, and cannot give threats to anybody. Even if it’s a
woman or man. On a human level, of course one should not say anything
which supercedes the law." Sharad Malhotra and Iqbal Khan also came up
to support the Czarina of television. Sharad Malhotra
said, "Trusting her creative sensibilities and vision, it would be very
harsh to judge her on one incident that unfortunately has not gone down
too well with the viewers. Yes, if there’s an issue, it needs to be
dealt and sorted out amicably and maturely. Threats of any kind are
completely unacceptable." Also Read - Naagin 4: Nia Sharma, Rashami Desai and Vijayendra Kumeria to begin the shooting of the finale from THIS date?
