Social Awareness Centre (SAC) Nepal is a NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Health, Education, Livelihood and Protection including Climate Change, Disaster Management and Humanitarian Support, GESI and Organizational Development. It works with a vision for capable and prosperous society for quality life of women, children and adolescents.

SAC Nepal is implementing digital and steam education in Thuli Bheri and Tripursundari municipalities; DolpoBuddha, Shey-Phoksundo, Kaike and ChharkaTongsang rural municipalities of of Dolpa District with inline the impact to within the role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as actors or governance for SDG 4 to in the education sector continue to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all in the context of recovery of the COVID-19 crisis. Thus, there are some new position and some are vacant, so SAC Nepal is invites applications from qualified, professional interested Nepali candidates for the following full-time positions.

Position: STEAM Education Officer 

Required No.: 1 (One) 

Duty Station: Project Office, Dolpa, (With frequently field visit in project area) 

Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for STEAM education establish/installation, training to concern teachers, ensure effective implementation of STEAM education, digital education and maker space. Regarding these following are the major roles responsibilities of the position. 

Responsibilities:

• Effective implementation of Activities related to STEAM Education, Quality education and Digital Education
• Support to PC for Project management related works 
• Ensure all results are being achieved through interventions and boost actions
• Facilitate to implement make spaces effectively 
• Facilitate to teachers to effective implementation of STEAM Concept and Digital learning 
• Facilitate to municipalities to make digital friendly policy and plans '
• Facilitate to project team on STEAM and Digital education
• Supervision of all Make spaces and schools for STEAM Education effectiveness
• Support to supervise project intervention through SMs
• Supervise activities going on in the filed by project support  
• Support to coordination with school and palika level stakeholders for project effective implementation
• Coordination with SMs and technical peoples for timely program delivery 
• Coordinate with PC/finance team and education officer for synergic actions 
• Coordination with related stakeholders working in education and child right for synergy in working theme and better result.
• Initiate New innovative ideas for project effectiveness 
• Ensure at least one innovation from a field staff for a year related education project effective in the assigned area
• Create the innovation team in the focus field and facilitate them to carry projects in the support of Plan team

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor degree in software design/computer engineering with at least 6 months' experience in developing education related products. Essential skills include Sound knowledge on steam and digital education, Knowledge and skill on program management; report and case studies writing skill; presentation, facilitation and negotiation; Very good skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting in English and Nepali. Other desirable skills include stress management; time management and communication skills; learning attitude, motivated, result oriented, excellent coordination, self-motivated, innovative, interest to work in geographically remote area, communication and interpersonal skills (team building and team work) with key stakeholders at program and district level.
