Xiaomi is now a decade old company. The company is celebrating 10 years of its establishment this month. To make the occasion memorable, Xiaomi will be launching a new moniker under the Mi 10 series – Mi 10 Ultra. The device is making headlines as it is claimed to be the first device with an in-display selfie camera. So, let’s check out all the rumors, leaks, specs, features, and expected launch date of the Mi 10 Ultra.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra Rumors Roundup
The Mi 10 Ultra is also referred to as Mi 10 Plus by many. However, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the device will be called Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition or the Supreme Edition in China. Outside of the home country, the device will be called Mi 10 Ultra.
World’s First Under-Display Camera
The phone will allegedly feature the world’s first under-display camera technology. This feature was first hinted by popular tipster Ice Universe via his tweet. Ross Young replied to the tweet stating that it could be the first phone with a camera under the display panel. He also added that it will be available in limited volume. It is likely to be a concept product like the Mi Mix Alpha.
It will likely be the first phone with an under panel camera. But volume will be (shockingly) small…:) Mostly a demo product from what I hear.

We already have seen a prototype of the technology, developed by Oppo. Earlier Visionox, a Chinese display manufacturer, had announced that it had solved problems related to Oppo’s prototype and was ready to mass-produce the tech, in case any brand is interested. However, we are yet to see a proper implementation of the in-display camera. The race to be the first company to do so is wide open with companies like Oppo, Samsung, and Xiaomi competing for the title.
Design and Display
Available rumors suggest that the Mi10 Ultra will feature a 6.67-inch FullHD+ AMOLED panel with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. While it’s being hyped for the alleged in-display camera, some posts on Weibo suggest a punch-hole display instead. Xiaomi is expected to make the punch-hole variant publicly available as very few of the devices will have an in-display camera. Similarly, the device will have a ceramic panel on the back. The device will be available with a transparent back.
Performance and Camera
The phone will feature either Snapdragon 865 and 865+. However, Xiaomi is likely to feature the latter. It’s actually the GPU that will make headlines when the device launches. According to Ice Universe, Xiaomi has collaborated with Qualcomm to come with a Game Turbo. The feature will let users modify the phone’s GPU settings. Users will be able to toggle between different GPU Modes and multiple filters. They will also be to adjust GPU frequency as well.

The device will flaunt a quad-camera setup on the back. An alleged
render of the phone showcases a 120X periscope lens on the top.
Similarly, the details of the rest of the cameras are still unknown.
