Oppo Smart TV S1 price has been set at CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs. 87,800), whereas the Oppo Smart TV R1 carries a price tag of CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 36,200) for the 55-inch variant and CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 47,200) for the 65-inch model. The new smart TVs are currently available for purchase in China. However, there are no official details about the launch of the Oppo Smart TV models in global markets.
The Oppo Smart TV S1 features a 65-inch 4K (3,840x2,160 pixels) QLED Quantum Dot display with a 120 percent ultra-wide NTSC colour gamut and peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The display also carries up to 120Hz refresh rate and is TUV Rheinland certified as well as supports Dolby Vision. Under the hood, the TV comes with a quad-core MediaTek MT9950 SoC, coupled with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and 8.5GB of RAM. Oppo has also provided its custom sound system on the Smart TV S1 that brings a total of 18 speakers that include a 25W subwoofer, providing a total output of 85W. There is also Dolby Atmos support.
Oppo has provided 128GB of onboard storage on the Smart TV S1. The TV also extends the display 1.86mm forward to provide a 3D-like visual experience. The company calls it the floating design. There is also the full-HD (1080p) pop-up camera. Additionally, the smart TV comes with Oppo's Breeno voice assistant.
Connectivity options on the Oppo Smart TV S1 include Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.1 as well as an AV input, digital audio (optical) output, Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, two HDMI 2.1, and two USB 3.0. Further, the TV comes with one-key NFC screen projection. There is a bundled, Bluetooth voice remote control.
Unlike the Smart TV S1 that comes in a lone 65-inch screen size, the Oppo Smart TV R1 comes in 55- and 65-inch screen options that both have a 4K (3,840x2,160 pixels) LCD with a 93 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and 60Hz refresh rate. The 55-inch model offers a 250 nits peak brightness, while its 65-inch version comes with 300 nits of peak brightness. The Oppo Smart TV R1 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT9652 SoC, paired with MediaTek MT9652 SoC, paired with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The TV also comes with an optional 1080p HD external camera to enable video chats.

In terms of speakers, there are two units with a total output rated 20W. The smart TV also carries Dolby Audio support. There is 32GB of onboard storage.
Connectivity options on the Oppo Smart TV R1 include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5 — alongside an AV input, digital audio (optical) output, Ethernet, three HDMI 2.1, and two USB 2.0 ports. There is also a bundled Bluetooth remote control along with support for Breeno voice assistant.
As per user complaints posted on Google's Pixel Phone Community forums, a small yet visible gap appears between the display and frame of the Pixel 5. The gap could let in dust particles, and could hamper the IP68-rated water and dust resistance of the phone.
“Does this cause issues with waterproofing?” one of the affected users asked on the company forums.

Apart from the complaints made on the Pixel Phone Community forums, several users have also posted the appearance of the gap on XDA forums. The user reports suggest that the issue appears as soon as the Pixel 5 is taken out of its box. Some affected users also opted for a replacement, though that does not resolve the issue as the game is visible on their new unit as well.
Android Police reports that the Pixel 5 review unit it received from Google also includes the gap. Ben Schoon of 9to5Google additionally mentions that his Pixel 5 unit purchased from a retail store in the UK also included a small gap at the corners.
Some users have found that the gap appears around the corner where the front-facing camera is visible. However, this is not the case in all incidents. The problem is also not apparently limited to the Just Black colour variant of the Pixel 5 as Schoon highlighted that the gap is visible on 9to5Google's Sorta Sage colour option as well.
Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G feature phones have been launched in India. The new Nokia phones support 4G VoLTE calling and come with wireless FM radio. The feature phones also include dedicated function keys and provide up to 24 days of standby time on a single charge. Nokia 225 4G also features a camera at the back to let users capture and share their memories on the go. Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G were originally launched in China earlier this month.
Nokia 215 4G price in India has been set at Rs. 2,949, while Nokia 225 4G carries a price tag of Rs. 3,499. Nokia 215 4G comes in Black and Cyan Green colour options. In contrast, the Nokia 225 4G is offered in Black, Classic Blue, and Metallic Sand shades. Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G will be available for purchase through Nokia India online store from Friday, October 23, while offline retailers will start selling the phones from November 6. Nokia 225 4G will also be available through Flipkart from Friday.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G share a similar list of specifications. Both run on RTOS based on the Series 30+ operating system and come with a 2.4-inch QVGA display. The phones also include 128MB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). In terms of connectivity, the Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G both have 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phones also come with a pre-installed MP3 player.
Nokia licensee HMD Global has also provided a 1,150mAh removable battery on both Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G. Speaking of differences, Nokia 225 4G carries a 0.3-megapixel snapper on the back to let you capture photos and videos in VGA resolution. It isn't provided on Nokia 215 4G.

The iPhone 12, on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 79,900 for the 64GB storage option, Rs. 84,900 for the 128GB storage variant, and the 256GB storage model at Rs. 94,900. However, the iPhone 12 Pro will retail starting at Rs. 1,19,900 for the base, 128GB storage variant, while its 256GB and 512GB storage options will be available at Rs. 1,29,900 and Rs. 1,49,900, respectively. The iPhone 12 Pro Max, in contrast, starts at Rs. 1,29,900 for the 128GB storage variant. Its 256GB option is priced at Rs. 1,39,900 and the highest, 512GB storage model carries a price tag of Rs. 1,59,900.
In the US, the iPhone 12 mini price starts at $699 (roughly Rs. 51,200), while the iPhone 12 begins at $799 (roughly Rs. 58,600). Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro start October 16 in the US, the UK, Japan, Germany, China, and Australia, before going on sale from October 23. In India, South Korea, and 12 more countries, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will go on sale from October 30. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will go up for pre-orders starting November 6 in the US, with availability set for November 13. India availability for iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max has yet to be detailed.
The OnePlus 8T will be launched in India at 7:30pm today, October 14, through a virtual event that will be streamed on OnePlus World and Youtube. While the company has not shared pricing for the phone, a listing on Amazon Germany last month suggested that the 8GB + 128GB storage variant will cost EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 51,700) and the 12GB + 256GB storage variant will cost EUR 699 (roughly Rs. 60,000).
The OnePlus 8T will be offered in an Aquamarine Green colour, along with an expected Lunar Silver variant. It will go on sale via Amazon and OnePlus India website.
Till now, OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 8T will run on OxygenOS 11, based on Android 11. It will come with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 91.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. There are four cameras on the back of the OnePlus 8T.
The phone will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. The camera setup on the back of the OnePlus 8T is said to include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. On the front, a single 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor is expected.
The deal on the iPhone 11 that will be a part of the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale brings its pricing down to Rs. 47,999 from Rs. 54,900. This indicates a discount of Rs. 6,901. Additionally, Amazon seems to offer an additional discount for customers making payments through HDFC Bank cards or EMI transactions.

The discounted price is applicable for the base variant of the iPhone 11 that comes with 64GB of storage. However, it is unclear whether Amazon would offer a similar discount on its 128GB and 256GB variants.
In case you don't want an iPhone 11 and have the budget to go for an even premium phone, Flipkart is set to offer the 64GB storage variant of the iPhone 11 Pro at Rs. 79,999 as a part of its Big Billion Days sale. This brings a discount of Rs. 26,601 over the official starting price of the iPhone 11 Pro that comes at Rs. 1,06,600. Flipkart is also likely to also effectively reduce the price further for customers using an SBI card.

The Amazon Great Indian Festival sale will begin from October 17 for regular customers, while it will go live for the Prime members beginning October 16. Flipkart, on the other hand, will host the Big Billion Days sale from October 16, though its Plus members will be able to access the festive sale from 12pm (noon) on October 15.
Both Amazon and Flipkart have notably revealed their deals on the last year iPhone models just hours after Apple reduced their prices officially — following the launch of the iPhone 12 series.

Thanks to an XDA Senior Member that goes by the username of Some_Random_Username, we now know how the upcoming OnePlus Buds Z will look like. According to XDA Developers, all the renders were extracted from an API that was shared by a trustable source.
As revealed by the renders, it looks strikingly similar to the OnePlus Buds that was launched earlier this year. However, the upcoming Buds Z will come with silicone ear tips. Other than that, we are looking at a similar stem design inspired by Apple’s AirPods lineup.
The charging case of the Buds Z resembles that of Samsung Galaxy Buds and Buds+. It features an LED indicator on the front just below the lid. Opposite to it, OnePlus has included a USB Type-C charging port and a button. OnePlus has also stamped its logo on the lid of the case. The Buds Z is expected to be available in three color options – Blue, Black, and White.
OnePlus has not confirmed much about the specs and features of the Buds Z, except for the IP55 certification against dust and water. The new buds will weigh around 4.35 grams. The rest of our knowledge about the specs of the Buds Z comes from Ishan Agarwal. According to him, the upcoming Buds from OnePlus will come with 10mm drivers which is smaller than the 13.4mm one in the original Buds. The earbuds will also support Dirac Audio Tuner and Dolby Atmos. The Buds Z will support wireless transmission via Bluetooth 5.0 connection and will be compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Each earbud will have dual microphones.
While the exact size of the battery is still a mystery, the Buds Z is said to offer up to 5 hours of music playback on a single charge. With the charging case, it can offer up to 15 hours of playback time. The earbuds will also support fast charging. A 10-minute charge will be able to fill the earbuds with juice that can last up to 3 hours of playback.
OnePlus Buds Z will be unveiled on October 14, alongside the much-awaited OnePlus 8T. While it will be cheaper than the original OnePlus Buds, there is no hint about the actual price of the TWS yet.

Hello everyone, today I have the Acer Swift 3 with me and it’s one of the cheapest thin and light ultra-book you can buy in the market right now. Actually, there are 2 variants of the Swift 3, one with AMD’s Ryzen 4000-series and the other with Intel’s 10th-gen Ice Lake processors. I’ve got the Intel variant with me that I’ve been using for quite a while now. So, let’s get on with the Acer Swift 3 review.
The first thing I immediately liked about this laptop is how thin and light it is. Here you don’t get the ultra-premium materials like on the MacBook Air or Dell’s XPS series, and it feels a little plasticky too. Although it’s indeed made using magnesium alloy material which helps to bring down the net weight to just 1.18kgs.
Similarly, in my months of use, I’m yet to notice any scratches, dents, or dis-coloration so far, which is great. The lid also doesn’t flex as much and this wide hinge helps keep the whole device sturdier. You can also rotate the hinge to 180-degree, though its use case is pretty limited – at least for me.
Right inside the hinge, there are 2 exhaust vents, but only the one on the left actually works. Sadly, the one of the right is just there to make the device look more symmetric and therefore aesthetically pleasing.
Getting to the back of the device, you will see air intake vents and 2 speakers right below it. These speakers’ audio output is quite low and it might not be sufficient while watching movies and such with friends.
Moving on, there are 12 screws holding the chassis in place, and getting inside the Swift 3 is pretty swift. You can upgrade the SSD and WiFi card, but the RAM has been soldered in.
And I have also seen some configurations of Swift 3 with a mere 4GB of RAM, so try avoiding that variant altogether. BTW, the one I have with me has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The WiFi card is the latest Intel AX201 WiFi 6 module, and I had no issue with the WiFi connectivity.
As for ports, you get a charging power connector, an HDMI port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port with Thunderbolt 3 support.
You can also use this Type C port for charging, provided you have a 65W or higher USB Power Delivery charger. You might be wondering if you can charge with the 65W charger you find these days in Realme and Oppo phones but sadly, you can’t.
Anyways, looking at the right side, you will find a headphone jack, another USB 2.0 Type-A port, and LED indicators.
As for the display, you get a 14-inch FullHD 16:9 IPS panel. As you can see, the bezels are thin on the sides and top but at the bottom, it’s pretty thick. You can also get a 13.5-inch variant with a trendier 3:2 aspect ratio, but it’s not available yet in south Asia.
Getting into the display quality of this variant, it’s quite good. Obviously, the color coverage isn’t wide enough for professional creators, but for general usage like web browsing and watching movies, it is completely fine. This an IPS panel, so the viewing angles are great too. Brightness wise, it might not be enough for a fairly well-lit room, or outdoors, but is adequate enough for indoor use.
The top bezel houses an HD webcam and it’s not total garbage. It gets the job done for Zoom meetings and such. However, the audio from the microphone isn’t great. As a result, you gotta invest in a decent headset to get a better audio output.
Now, let’s talk about the keyboard. It has good key travel and I really enjoyed typing on it.
It gives soft feedback and therefore is not very loud while typing. This chiclet-style keyboard has a single-color LED backlighting, which is pretty basic. You can configure between 2 levels of brightness, but only the topmost level is only any good.
The only thing I don’t like about the keyboard is the fact that the Page Up and Page Down keys are right beside the arrow keys. And there have been so many instances where I would accidentally click them. Down below the arrow keys, you will find a fingerprint sensor, which is pretty reliable. On the other hand, its plastic trackpad is pretty average too. It is not as responsive as glass trackpads you get on other premium Ultrabooks.
In terms of performance, my review unit is powered by the quad-core Intel i5 1035G1 CPU and the entry-level NVIDIA MX350 dedicated GPU with 2GB of GDDR6 VRAM. You can also configure the Intel variant with up the i7-1065G7.
Similarly, as I told earlier, you can also go with the AMD Ryzen 5 4700U variant, which has a much better performance & efficiency than its Intel counterpart. But, with the Ryzen chipset, you get an integrated Radeon RX Vega GPU, which isn’t as good as having a dedicated GPU that you get here.
With the MX 350, don’t expect anything spectacular gaming performance though – after all, the Acer Swift 3 is an Ultrabook.
Casual gaming is possible as I got a respectable 100 fps in medium settings in CS: GO. Similarly, I was able to play FIFA 20 in medium settings at HD resolution smoothly.
However, with prolonged gaming sessions, its single fan couldn’t keep up, although Acer has optimized this laptop to not produce too much fan noise. So, you will start to notice CPU/GPU throttling, resulting in degraded gaming performance.
To solve this, you can get yourself a decent laptop cooler pad, which will help for smoother gameplay. But again, if you want to play games, even the light ones like FIFA, it’s better you get something like the Acer Nitro 5 or the Dell G3 which retails at a similar price as the Swift 3.
As for my daily regimes like simultaneously using Google Chrome with 10-12 tabs open and Adobe Photoshop for light editing/cropping photos for Instagram feeds, it served me well without any hint of lags or stutter. So, if you fall in this or similar category of users, the Acer Swift 3 should serve you well.
Lastly, let’s talk about battery life. It has a 3-cell 48Wh Li-Ion battery, which I think is a little bit low for an Ultrabook. The endurance is good, but not that great.
Usually, I would not bring the charger with me at the office and all I do is watch YouTube videos and write scripts and it lasted me like 5 hours of SOT under the “Better Performance” setting. So, had Acer provided a slightly bigger battery, the Swift 3 2020 would have been absolutely stellar.
All in all, the Intel variant of the Acer Swift 3 is a respectable Ultrabook for the price. It has got a decent display, the typing experience is also great which matters a lot if you’re someone who types a lot, and the performance is sufficient enough for anyone who’s not into playing demanding games or has an extensive workload like designing, video editing, etc. Having said all this, I still wish Acer had worked on improving in 2 aspects: the speakers and the trackpad – and maybe even the battery as well.
